Weathering the Storm
Sometimes when you are weathering the storm you will go alone. You will be alone. You will feel alone. Even though you want people to be in the middle of the situation with you they can't. Even though sometimes you want people to understand you, they won't. They're not God. People will always do what seems right & okay to them. Doesn't make someone a bad person, it just makes us human when we do. Will everybody weep when you weep or rejoice when you rejoice? NO. As much as you would like them to...sometimes God designs it that way on purpose. Just like Daniel in the Lion's den. I am sure that he wanted someone, anyone to be there with Him, but God was. The truth is that when you are learning to truly, truly trust God no one else can be there for you 24-7, 365. When your mind is not sound, when you are all out of "shouts", "hallelujahs", & "praise His names", God is still there. When you make mistakes or when you take a hit, God is till there in your corner letting you know you CAN win! Emotions lie. They come at different times and are a false sense of what is really happening in the Spirit. Humanity makes us susceptible to these but we are not defined by them. No matter what I have learned that my life, my hope, my joy is settled in Him. The safest place to be in a storm is in the middle. The eye of the storm is the quietest, most serene place. God, hide em in the eye of the storm. Give me that altitude like an eagle where I can rise above all this stuff to get to where you can talk to me. Thank you that even in the midest of all this drama you are giving me wisdom. Guide the steps, give me peace along the way in Jesus' name. Amen.
