New Season - New Things

The Lord woke me up on March 29th in the morning around 7:00 am. I just had a dream where in it there were people who were using things like cassette tapes, vhs, and wearing vintage looking clothes as though they were stuck in a different era. Almost immediately after I woke up, the Lord began to download what this all meant. As well He took me to all the corresponding scriptures that helped me further understand the dream.      The Dream interpretation: Behold I do new things shall they not know it? (Isaiah 43:19). There are so many that have been in what one could call a spiritual waiting room. Almost like at a Dr’s office. You all have appointments (aka assignments) that I have given to you, but for whatever reason other people have gone or are going in before you. They go in and come out looking great. You are wondering and have wondered for years when it would be your turn.       Some of the people who are reading this w...

Conflict Resolution God’s Way

People need people. It is a fact that no man lives to himself nor dies to himself. (Romans 14:7) Without a doubt there is a deep longing for us all to belong someplace. We need one another. We were created by God for community. We need one another in our families. We need each other in the Church as a whole. We all need some sort of support. In spite of this fact, we seem to have so much division in the body Of Christ. There are too many instances, where we have unnecessary separations that could have easily been resolved had we just chosen to work out our grievances God’s way. Why is this happening more and more? I’ll give you a few reasons and then a solution.  One of the main concerns that results in conflict not only in our everyday lives, but especially among our church family is pride. Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” (NIV) We can fall prey to holding grudges and ultimately keep ourselves from clearing up otherwise small in...

Intentional Faith

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase." Martin Luther King, Jr.      Our faith in God has to be intentional. In a world where we can coast, drift and can literally be on autopilot, I'm reminded that we need to:  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (1 Peter 5:8 KJV)... EVERYTHING in our lives can be fair game to the enemy because he's a thief. He wants to destroy as much of you, your family and especially your faith in God as possible. He can't take what we don't give him. He will talk or really more accurately deceive us out of the blessings of God. He won't stop until we stop believing, thereby blocking the funnel of overflow God wants to give us.      The Word says in Mark 16:17-18 (KJV) 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe ; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take...

Just Listen

God is speaking to us daily, but the question is are we listening? He desires to share the mysteries of Himself and of your life on a regular basis. It is not easy to see or believe, but God wants to have an intimate relationship that involves consistent and personal conversations daily. Jesus said, “ He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” (Matthew 11:15)  He not only wants to be talked to, but He wants to talk back. We have to just listen. Psalm 143:8 says, “Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.” (ESV) What’s so sad is that most of us think that hearing from God is a very rare occasion when in reality, Moses talked with God all throughout Exodus through Deuteronomy. Enoch walked and talked with God so much so that he was translated from this world into Heaven (Genesis 5). People think that for whatever reason that God is hiding His voice from us and that He isn’t interested in what we...

Open Invitation

Have you ever been invited to a party that you thought about not attending, but you made it anyway? How about when you got to that same party you actually enjoyed yourself? Or how about have you ever hosted a party and it turned out better than you had hoped? What about the times you missed a party that you really wished you had attended and heard it was great? Or maybe someone you had hoped would attend your party didn’t show up. If so then you will understand this blog very well.       In Luke 14:15-24, Jesus tells a parable about a rich man that holds a banquet, what we would call a party in our own terms. He explains how this man invited so many people that he knew. He sent his servants to ask certain ones to attend this great feast, but they all had excuses as to why they couldn’t come. One said he bought a field that he had to see about (verse 18). One other said that he bought some oxen so he wouldn’t be able to come. (verse19) Finally, one...
