Sufferings

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." - Romans 8:18 I have to say that the scripture above never really had as deep a meaning as it has had in the last couple years, months, weeks, etc. of my life. Most people who know me personally or are following my blogs know my story to some extent. It's that I am: currently unemployed, living with my parents (again) after losing my job in Wichita, Ks. About 3 months before I lost my job, I suffered a seizure at the wheel and got into a horrendous car wreck; losing my driving privileges for 6 months and totaled out my vehicle (that I was still paying for without current insurance since I was recovering from the 2010 unemployment issue). Yeah, yeah, yeah...you all have heard my story. I have told it so many times I think I am even tired of hearing it. To say that I have had some challenges would be an understatement. Fine Line

Today is Valentine's day, of course everyone who reads this today or when they see the time stamp will know that. This is relevant because being a Godly, single woman this day can mean so much. God Pays Attention to the Details

January 10, 2012 Happpppppy New Year!!! I know I am late, but I pray your new year has started off right. Mine sure did. I spent a week vacation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to see one of my dear friends. I went to visit her and I had the best time ever. Thank you Detania and Michael Payne(that's her husband) for being so hospitable. Before I went to the Dairy State, I had really been stressed out. There was so much going on and I definitely needed a break from the pressures of all that I was going through. I journaled a prayer the first night I got there: "Lord for this trip, I pray I can really have a good time. I pray I can do some things that will make it memorable. Some good, positive things..." It was one of those moments where no one knew what I said or thought, but God alone. I know it may seem silly to some to ask God for something as shallow as a good time, but you have to know me to know that I can be wound pretty tight sometimes. I like to enjoy myself, but I ...
