Stewardship: In the Interest of Time

The most recent item God has been dealing with in my life is, stewardship in my time. Since I have been unemployed the last few weeks, I have been just winging it as far as my schedule. There are a few obvious things I do on a daily basis, but overall I was trying to do too many things a day or just chilling until I realized I hadn't gotten much accomplished that day. With my structured personality type I need just that structure. The Lord has been dealing with me as to using this time to be effective in several areas. I have to understand that my time does (and has always) belonged to Him. He is the Ruler of all things...time included. Now that I "work" for Him full-time, I have to be a good steward over my time. Therefore, I need to be cognizant of the time I spend on each task. I need to make myself...

Be Content

I talked to one of my dear friends last night and thank God for friends who can bring some perspective. I was having a "woe is me moment" and she encouraged me. Sometimes all you need is a little sleep to help you feel better. :-) In Philippians, 4:11, Paul talks about being content. He says he was abased and being abound, but whatever state learned to be content. Being content doesn't mean lying to myself or ignoring my problem, but it definitely means finding the silver lining or as well as how we Christians say counting our blessings. The truth is that no matter how bad it is, there is a worse situation. I know I so...
