My Struggle With God's Love

“God’s LOVE is Like an Ocean; You can See its Beginning, but not its end.” — Rick Warren       People who have followed this ministry know how much I preach the Name of Jesus. I can teach the Word. I am unashamed of the Gospel. I can quote you the scriptures. I can pray down all of Heaven. My faith can move mountains.  Everywhere I go I want to tell someone about the goodness of God. I want to tell everyone about Jesus. Somewhere along this journey, I had to reset my thoughts about who I was to Jesus. I wondered, am I enough? I wondered if I am too much. Could His love contain me in every capacity?       Religion taught me in certain Christian circles that if I did everything right that God would give me favor. I would be blessed. I would not have as many struggles. That God would love me. If you don’t believe me, look at the entire book of Job. This thought process has been going on since the dawn of time. The issue with this t...

Who Do Men Say That I Am?

It is proven that Jesus fulfilled over 300 Biblical prophecies in His lifetime. By scientific calculations the possibility of that happening in any one person’s lifetime is impossible at best. When you think about who God is you realize with man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)  Yet despite seeing signs, wonders and miracles and miracles with their own eyes Jesus still asked the Disciples - who do men say that I am? (Matthew 16:13-14) They began to say that people thought He was John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah or another one of the prophets. (NIV)      Ironically, Jesus turned the question around and asked the Disciples directly, who they thought He was. To me that seemed like an easy enough question to answer. I mean I never walked with Jesus face to face, but based on facts I would have had to say just like Peter did in Matthew 16:16 that Jesus was the Messiah, Son of the Living God (NIV) Peter was right...

It's Time to Get Off the Fence

Either you're for me or you're against me this is what Jesus said in Matthew 12:30. These are harsh words to some people, but it's a matter of loyalty to God. Are you going to go all in or keep one foot out because it's convenient? He also said if you're not gathering you're scattering. It's every believer's responsibility to draw others to Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:11)       It's relatively black and white. You're either pursuing a relationship with Christ or you're pulling back. Luke 9:62 says, “But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”(NASB)  It's so easy for people to say things like, "well there's more than one way to Heaven." Jesus said differently. He is the Way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6)  Convenience tells us to be neutral. One problem: Jesus wasn't neutral. He was radical....

Let's Talk About Sin

This is a topic no one in our culture, even "church" culture, wants to touch. We will skirt around it for the sake of being politically correct or not wanting to offend. The issue is that in this process we offend the true and living God. Sin at its very core is destructive. It takes us away from God in this life and ultimately in eternity. Isaiah 59:2 literally says that our iniquities separate us from God. Sin isn't relative to how someone feels. It's based on what the Bible says.      What is sin? According to the encyclopedia Britannica sin is, "moral evil as considered from a religious standpoint. Sin is regarded in Judaism and Christianity as the deliberate and purposeful violation of the will of God." Then Wikipedia says, "it's an immoral act considered to be a transgression of divine law." After reading these 2 secular descriptions of sin I had to look at the Word of God for its true interpretation. In all fairness there were over ...

There's A Plot Twist

“Your life is nothing more than a love story. Between you and God. Nothing more. Every person, every experience, every gift, every loss, every pain is sent to your path for one reason and one reason only: to bring you back to Him.” — Yasmin Mogahed      In every good story you can bet on one thing, the plot will twist. It is what makes the tale interesting. Any good book has some turns, unexpected events and twists that keep you reading. Your story isn't any different. It is all going to work out for your good. Romans 8:28 tells us this clearly. God doesn’t want you to give up on your dreams. There is a reason your dream is bigger than some. This is because He has a plan for you. (Jeremiah 29:11) The narrative can and will change without warning. One day you will wake up and EVERYTHING that happened before will make sense. God fully intends to show you what He can do in your life. He will withhold no good thing from you when you walk upright before Him. (Psalm...
