Breathe Again

Today marks a new chapter in my life...I have felt like everything has been on pause since about 2 months ago. The hotel I have been managing flooded on Jan. 3rd, 2008 and we will re-open on Mar. 6th, 2008. It seems like its been forever. I have hired some new staff, as I lost a few along the way. The "sabbatical" gave me a chance to question some of my life choices. I realize that I am not destined to be in Hotel management for the rest of my life. I found my calling. I was able to record a demo, work with some really talented producers, work with people that are trying to do what I am trying to do, start working with a vocal coach, got the confidence to audition for another Gospel group, and really just start working the gift I have been given. I also made some really BIG mistakes along the way. I almost ran ahead of God and in the process angered a few people who didn't understand what I was doing or why. I took a break from some things and people so I could clear my head and get my life straight. I went on several fasts so that I could assess things more clearly. Life has not been predictable. It has taken several twists and turns but God has remained faithful being the loving Father that I have always needed Him to be. He has taught me so much. I have grown so much from all of this but it has been an interesting journey.

So after all of that, I feel like I can finally "Breathe Again"...Thankfully God has kept me. He blocked some things that needed blocked and opened some doors that needed to be opened. I am just glad that things have finally fallen into place. Whew! ( Sigh of relief...)
