What God Has Blessed Cannot Be Cursed
I've heard people that are so worried about what other people have to say about them. They are concerned about witchcraft being stronger than the Blood of Jesus. I wonder to myself what god are they serving? My God is strong and mighty in battle. Psalm 28:4 actually describes God in this way. The problem is that the devil has used intimidation to create a fear that he has more control and can do more than he really can to us. He has used the trap of lies to make it seem that he is capable of more than he actually is.
When God has decided to bless you, the devil cannot stop it or you! Once God has placed His stamp on your life the enemy cannot just waltz in and take it off. There are places and times when we give the devil a place or even allow him to take what is ours, but that can easily be remedied. When we submit to God and resist the devil, he has to flee. (James 4:7) If we completely and totally believe what the Word says then we can refute the lies. To be fair everyone is in a different place in their faith walk so this is not meant to beat anyone up. I just get passionate about the truth of God’s Word. I get passionate about living a life of freedom. I get passionate about walking in every promise that God wants to give me.
At the core of this I want you to be assured that there is no way the devil can just do whatever he wants no matter what he says. I think of him like a dog on a chain. He can only go so far before that chain yanks him back. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will lift up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19) I will never tell you that the enemy is powerless. I will tell you though that when you know God that you have the power given to you to overcome the devil. (Luke 10:18)
I want to look at one passage of scripture in Numbers 23. The King of Moab was planning to go into battle with the Children of Israel. He went to the Prophet Balaam to ask him to curse them first because they kept winning. Here’s the problem, God specifically said that the children of Israel were blessed. He placed His seal of approval on them. Those were the people He called His own. After several attempts to curse them and God blocking every one, the Prophet has to tell the King that you cannot curse what God has blessed. Ultimately the Lord caused Balaam to pronounce a blessing over them. This infuriated the King because he wanted to defeat them and that was not working. I want someone to get this down in their spirit. When you come to know Jesus, every promise that the Bible has is yours! You are just like the children of Israel. Even when people want to curse you they cannot because the favor of God is so overwhelming that the very enemies that wanted to take you out have to submit to the blessing.
When you understand that you walk in a supernatural place with Christ Jesus that gives you access to spaces you never felt qualified to be in and doors you never thought you could open, your outlook changes. Everyday you need to wake up and walk into your purpose in Christ. Your life shows others that what He died for is personal. He took the curse so that you could be blessed. Galatians 3:13-14 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith. (ESV) It is now time for you to see that if someone is trying to curse you or the devil is trying to stop when God has ordained then it will not end well for those involved. Genesis 12:3 reads as follows, “I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”[a]”
Now is the time to stop being so afraid of what other people, your “enemies” and even the devil have to say. Jesus took Satan down on the cross. When you walk in your authority, demons have to obey the name of Jesus. As you read this, get a fire in your belly that you are walking in victory! The devil is defeated. Isaiah 54:17 says it best, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” (NKJV) That means every curse is broken by the authority of Jesus Christ. Every spell, every hex, vex or whatever is not stronger than Jesus and the standard is lifted by the blood. Nothing is stronger than the blood of Jesus. You are free from whatever has tried to bind you. He who the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36) I declare this over your life in Jesus name. Amen.
Let’s pray: Father God in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray for whoever is reading this right now. I pray that whatever curse that has been spoken they realize that they have the power to not only break it in You, but is forever broken. Thank You, Jesus, that Your blood has set us unquestionably free. Thank you for Your Word in Jesus name. Amen.
If you are reading this and have never accepted Jesus as Your Lord and Savior this is the time. If you have once walked with God, but you have strayed away, here is your moment. There will never be a more ideal time than now to surrender your life to the One who loves you most. He wants to call you out of darkness into His marvelous light. No strings attached. No hidden motives. He just wants a relationship with you. If this is you please say the prayer below.
Sinner’s Prayer: Lord, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. He died on the cross just for me. I also confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that He rose again on the 3rd day, paying my sin debt in full. He is now seated at the right hand of power, interceding for me to the Father. I thank You, Jesus, that as I pray this prayer and believe with my heart that You have saved me. I receive Your love and commit my life to You. You are now the Lord of my life. Thank You for all that You have done and will do for me in the future. In Jesus name, Amen.
